LOW AIM IS SIN (PART II)

Dr. Benjamin Elijah Mays, Former President of Moorehouse College, once stated, “The tragedy of life is not reaching your goals, but having no goals to reach. The calamity in life is not that you did not reach the stars, but you had no stars to reach for. The greatest tragedy in life is not failure, but the greatest tragedy is low aim, and low aim is sin.” We must realize that authentic faith is needed when there is a higher bar of accomplishment and creating something unique and has never been done before. Such a revelation will cause many to fight against such a purpose. Our highest vision does not reinforce what is expected but expands into another perspective not yet realized. The low aim that we have is not realizing that what we consider necessary is not as crucial as fulfilling our purpose in this three-dimensional world. Can we see, feel, hear, believe, and implement the drive with an action plan to be useful and make a difference for everyone and everything?

Yes, this message sounds good in isolation, but what we have done as a human family is to support what we already know versus what could be. We are a source of resistance when there is more to our past existence than who we are today. Our lives’ crutches make us a victim of history versus new expressions of life to assist us in moving forward. In writing a vision, one must realize that the world is much bigger than just worldly wealth, a great family, and the so-called “American Dream.” However, our creation is meant to change lives toward upward mobility and the creation of solution-driven thinkers.

The effort against low aim is not just a religious responsibility, not just an educational burden, not just a political point to an argument, but also the essential self-development key to unlocking unlimited potential. Once we realize this sin is consistently being harnessed as a societal ceiling, the shattering of that glass can occur through other alternative methods of thinking.
